Connect or reconnect

The approved Roof connection starts from the local reporting client on your Mac.

1. Ask the Roof setup owner to verify that production setup, the intended company and the credential vault are approved.
2. Start the approved local connection procedure on the Mac that will run reports. It opens Intuit’s authorization screen and a temporary local receiver.
3. Sign in directly to Intuit as an authorized company administrator. Select Roof’s intended company and review the requested Accounting permission. Stop if the company or permissions differ from the approved setup.
4. Complete Intuit’s consent. The return travels through this website to the temporary receiver on your Mac. Wait for the local confirmation before running a report.

Stored keys and tokens belong in Roof’s 1Password vault. Never send an authorization-return URL, password, verification code or secret to the setup owner through chat or email.

If the return fails or expires, stop and ask the setup owner to check the connection state. Reconnecting requires a fresh local procedure; do not reuse a previous return URL.
