Internal-use terms

Roof AI Inc. provides Roof Reporting for its authorized users to review selected information from Roof’s own QuickBooks Online company.

Permission to use

Roof grants authorized users a limited, revocable permission to use this internal tool for Roof’s business reporting. Use requires Roof’s approval of the company and setup, an approved local Mac, and the relevant administrator’s authorization in Intuit. This permission does not authorize access to another company or redistribution of the reporting client or company data outside Roof’s approved business processes.

Reporting scope

The client reads selected company identity, invoices, recorded payments, accounts receivable, profit and loss, and balance-sheet information. The Accounting authorization supplied by Intuit can permit writes; this client limits accounting operations to selected reads. Do not modify or bypass its company, request or credential restrictions.

The tool does not create invoices, reconcile bank transactions, move money, process ACH or card payments, or connect separately to Stripe. Roof’s accounting team remains responsible for monthly invoicing and reconciliation.

Human review

Reports reflect information and dates returned by the provider at the time of a request. They may be incomplete, unavailable or affected by later accounting changes. Check the company, period, accounting basis and currency, and compare material results with the accounting team’s records before relying on them. A recorded payment does not by itself prove settlement or completed reconciliation.

The tool supports internal review. It does not provide professional accounting, tax, investment or legal advice and does not make business decisions for Roof.

Protecting access and information

Keep stored app credentials and managed tokens in Roof’s 1Password vault. Enter Intuit passwords and verification codes directly in Intuit’s own interface. Do not place credentials or authorization-return links in chat, email, source control or reports. Protect any separately saved report copies under Roof’s approved access and retention practices.

Use only approved company bindings and the intended sandbox or production environment. Do not share a sandbox grant or credential with a production company, or use Roof credentials for personal projects.

Providers and availability

Use of Intuit, 1Password and Cloudflare remains subject to the applicable provider agreements. Roof Reporting is operated by Roof and does not claim sponsorship or endorsement by Intuit. Provider availability, permissions and production eligibility can change; Roof may pause or withdraw the tool when required to protect access or correct a problem.

Disconnecting

Revoke the connection in QuickBooks Online or use the approved local disconnect procedure when access is no longer needed. Visiting the public disconnect-instructions page alone does not revoke access. If provider revocation cannot be confirmed, stop using the connection and resolve it with the setup owner. Disconnecting does not remove QuickBooks accounting records or previously saved report copies.

Privacy and changes

The privacy policy describes the tool’s data handling. Roof must review material changes to these terms or the approved reporting scope before the changed workflow is used.
